Prachin Buri Province

Prachin Buri is located some 134 kms. from Bangkok. Prachin Buri is 134 kms north-east of Bangkok.

Prachin Buri is administratively divided into 7 districts (Amphoes):
Muang Prachin Buri, Ban Sang, Kabin Buri, Na Di, Prachantakham,
Si Maha Phot, and Si Mahosot.

Neighbouring Provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima to the north, Sa Kaeo to the east, Nakhon Nayok to the west, Chachoengsao to the south.

Local Products :
Prachin Buri produces a variety of durian, pomelo, mango, jackfruit and bamboo shoots. The local fruit market at Nong Cha-om, Amphoe Muang, sells produce fresh from the orchards. The produce and handicraft market at Noen Hom intersection offers in-season fruit and hand-made bamboo products.

Attractions :
Prachin Buri National Museum Located near the City Hall, this museum displays artifacts discovered within Prachin Buri and neighbouring towns. It also exhibits ancient sculptures of various styles and periods with an aim to educate visitors on Thai art history. Underwater archaeology in the Gulf of Thailand as well as artifacts found off the coast of Amphoe Sattahip, Chon Buri are also on exhibition.

Tambon(ตำบล) (Thai: ตำบล) is a local government unit in Thailand. Below district (amphoe(อำเภอ) ) and province (changwatจังหวัด), they form the third administrative subdivision level. As of the 2000 census there are 7254 tambon, not including the 154 khwaeng(แขวง) of Bangkok, which are set at the same administrative level, thus every district contains 8-10 tambon. Tambon is usually translated as "commune" or "subdistrict" in English, the latter is also the recommended translation,[1] although it is used also often used as the translation for king amphoe(กิ่งอำเภอ). Tambon are further subdivided into 69,307 villages (muban)(หมู่บ้าน), about 10 per tambon. Tambon within cities or towns have no subdivision into villages, but into communities (chumchon)(ชุมชน).
